Our Services & Programs Financial Counseling The Women's Center offers three financial counseling services: Community Financial Counseling Community Financial Counseling for clients referred by the Department of Social Services (Budgeting classes) Financial Workshops   Community Financial Counseling: Financial counselors can meet with you one-on-one to help you with: Assessing your financial situation Budgeting and savings Managing your debts Developing a plan to meet your financial goals Learning about credit, including how to use it wisely, fix errors in your credit history and what to avoid. Appointments are open to both women and men. The Women's Center offers a sliding scale, based on individual income. To schedule an appointment, please email the program director or call 919-968-4610. Please complete the financial assessment form prior to your appointment. All information shared will remain confidential. Community Financial Counseling for clients referred by DSS (Budgeting Class) As of June 30, 2009, The Women's Center no longer offers the budgeting class for the Orange County Department of Social Services (DSS). Clients seeking emergency financial assistance are now required to contact DSS directly to take a budgeting class.
